About

Gove was born, Michael J. Govea in December of 1987 in Miami, FL. Ever since he was young he was always into performing and music was always part of his life. Growing up on classic rock and pop music of the time seemed to well round him in all genres of music. In 1992, Hurricane Andrew devastated southFloridaand forced Gove into moving farther south, to theFlorida Keys.

While in the Keys, Gove’s sound for music went into the direction of hip hop. Hip hop seemed to be in its prime at the time and Gove fell face first into the culture. It wasn’t until 2000 when Gove started to put words together in a sense of a rap. Always into poetry and music, it wasn’t hard for him to get the grasp of creating lyrics in the form of a song. Gove started to freestyle with his friends and at party’s not knowing he was catching a buzz of being known to freestyle and battle people. Shortly after that, he caught up with fellow business partner/producer, Chief, and they constructed a small demo tape known as “A.R.C Jus tha beginning”. Locally it was distributed and enjoyed by people in the local area.

In 2006, Gove graduated from high school and attendedFullSailUniversityto acquire an A.S Degree in Recording Arts. While there he met a lot of contacts and networked his music for the first time in an area other then southFlorida. While there he also started an independent label called Flex Music Entertainment, LLC with long friend Chief. The sole purpose of the label was to help with Gove’s dream of becoming a successful emcee and completing this dream independently and away from the major labels.

Flex Music Entertainment, LLC successfully completed and digitally disbursed over 5 mixtape’s with fellow label Born Ready Entertainment, LLC.

Gove has done a lot so far with his career in music and is continuing his march by finishing up his solo mixtape called “Can You Hear Me Now!!” which was released on September 9th, 2009. “Can You Hear Me Now!!” has produced singles such as “Accomplish” and “Modern Purgatory” which were produced by Bar Shotz and were nominated as Heat of the Week of Hip Hop forum www.Rap-Dome.com. “This mixtape came out great”, says Gove, “I have really been getting a lot of hype from this one.”

Gove released another tape a year later called “The Epidemic”. This 15 track mixtape brought out another side of Gove. “When I started this tape I wanted to make it for myself” proclaimed Gove. “This was a tape that I felt needed to be made to try and get some things off my chest. It was therapy for me.” Brining a graphic and more personal feel to this tape, Gove used his art of story telling to paint pictures that others would be able to identify with. “I am still growing as an artist, and in time I will be able to find my niche. I just need to get some personal feelings out of the way and I feel that I have accomplished that with this tape.”

Since the release of Gove’s last mixtape, a lot has happened. After being picked up by management label, Liner Entertainment Group, LLC, Gove has seen his career start to really take off. Performing at numerous venues and making appearances, Gove has started to create a name for himself in the game. Having made appearances on Miami Music Television to being aired on national television, Gove is starting to see what hard work and dedication can do for an artist. Gove has been in the studio with numerous veteran producers including Balistic Beats and Keith Clizark. Having created singles with up and coming singer Sir Chad, Gove has a lot in his arsenal that is waiting to be released.

Currently, Gove is working on his third solo mixtape called “Fighting the Hangover” which is scheduled to be released at the end of the summer in 2011. Polishing up his craft and bringing fans good music, Gove is creating a tape that he claims will be his best work yet. Gove states, “This tape is going to be raw, dope, and still have real music that everyone is going to enjoy.” You can be expecting some video footage of Gove in the studio working on the tape, as well as Gove’s personal perceptions of the songs that he is creating.
